When starting a project, you typically want to distribute the underlying project estimate across different accounts or product codes (hereinafter referred to as accounts/product codes).
Each budget consists of one or more items derived from the project estimate. The budgets created for the various accounts define the financial framework for what the project can allocate to the necessary purchases required for execution.
At project start, the sum of the budgets across all accounts forms the basis for the project’s final forecast.

In the Account / Product Code menu, several actions are available. These are listed below and described in more detail in the following sections:

Below is an explanation of the different actions available in the Account / Product Code menu.
Add account/product code (manual)
Click “+ Account/Product Code” in the top-right corner of the page. A window will open where you can create a new account/product code.
Fill in the following fields:
Name – Enter the name of the account/product code
Account group – Select which group it belongs to (e.g. Site setup & operations, Building works, Design, etc.)
Account number – Enter the account number
Account budget – Enter the budget (cost price for the account/product code)
Import accounts/product codes
If you want to add multiple accounts/product codes at once, you can import them using an Excel template. This saves time and makes it easier to create many accounts/product codes in one operation.
You can also combine import and manual creation if needed.
To import accounts/product codes:
Go to Settings (gear icon in the top-right corner).
Select Import data in the left-hand menu.
Choose Account/Product Code as the data type.
Edit account/product code
If incorrect information has been entered, or if the properties of an account/product code change during the project, you can easily update it.
Hover over the row representing the account/product code you want to edit.
Click the pencil icon to the right of the name.
Update the relevant values.
Click Save to store the changes.
Account/product code detail view
By clicking the name of an account/product code in the list, you will open a summary view showing the most important parameters for the selected account/product code.
This summary provides a quick overview of the current status and shows how the final forecast is structured at any given time.
You can filter the view to show only parameters that affect the final forecast by checking “Show forecast only” in the top-right corner of the window.
For a deeper insight into how the final forecast is calculated, click “Σ Forecast” above the account summary.
In the sub-menus below the account/product code overview, you will find aggregated information about all financial elements linked to the account/product code, including:
Purchases linked to the account/product code
Subcontractor changes (UE)
Counterclaims and expected additional costs
Uncertainties and invoices
Files related to the account/product code
