How do I give access at organization or department level?

Go to Settings, select the organization or department level and add the user there. The access then applies to all projects under that level.

Access is granted under Settings, at the level the access should apply to: the whole organization, a department or a single project. If you add a user at organization or department level, the user gets access to all projects under that level, without having to be added to each project.

How to do it

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select the level the access should apply to: the organization, a department or a project.

  3. Add the user with their email address and select a role.

  4. Save. The user receives an email, logs in and creates a password.

Settings, Access control. 1: Access control in the left menu. 2: Add user. 3: the Role column. 4: a role with the level in parentheses, for example Global for the whole organization.

Which level should I choose?

  • Organization or department (global users): Suitable for finance managers, regional managers and others who need to see across projects.

  • Project (project users): Suitable for project managers, site managers and others who only work on one project.

Good to know

  • You must have access at the level yourself to give others access there.

  • On large projects, each person can also filter the view to their own trades or production codes.

  • For each project, consider who should have access, and at which level.
