Where do I create a new project?

How to create a new project in AIMZ: the role you need, the steps in the dialog and what to do if it hangs.

You create new projects from the left menu in AIMZ. To create a project, you need the Owner role at organisation level.

How to create a project

  1. Click at the top of the left menu and choose the AIMZ organisation the project should belong to. Hover over the level and click +.

  2. Follow the three steps in the dialog:

    1. Project info

    2. Contract info

    3. Import – here you choose whether the project is kept by account or by production code. The project is only created once you have made this choice.

Important: The project number must be identical to the number in your accounting system. This links invoices automatically to the correct project.

The dialog hangs or loads endlessly

If creation seems to hang without an error message, the most common cause is that you do not have the Owner role at organisation level. Ask a user with the Owner role to create the project or give you extended access. Read more in What roles are there in AIMZ, and what can each role do?
