When an invoice fails to arrive: automatic carry-forward

Delayed invoices are automatically carried forward to the coming months, so the liquidity picture stays correct.

If an invoice is delayed, the difference between the planned and actual amount in a closed period is automatically carried forward to the coming months — so that the liquidity picture stays correct. A closed period is a month up to and including the cut-off, where the picture shows actual figures. Read more in The cut-off period in the Liquidity module.

How it works

  • When you move the cut-off past a month in which a planned invoice has not arrived, AIMZ detects the difference.

  • The missing amount is automatically moved forward to the next months.

  • If you do not want this automation, turn off the toggle for automatic carry-forward of delayed invoices under Settings in the Liquidity module — the same place as the payment deadline.

This is how it looks in the Grid view:

This way, a single delayed invoice does not give a misleading picture of liquidity in the current period.
