The cut-off period in the Liquidity module

The cut-off is the month that separates actual (posted) figures from the forecast in the liquidity overview.

Cut-off means the dividing point in time. In the Liquidity module, the cut-off period is the month that separates history from forecast: up to and including the cut-off, the liquidity overview shows actual (posted) figures for incoming and outgoing payments, and after the cut-off it shows the forecast, i.e. the accrued plan.

How to use it

  1. Find the cut-off selector in the top row of the Grid.

  2. Move the cut-off to the month you want. To the left of the line you see actual figures, to the right the forecast.

  3. When you move the cut-off, the overview is updated with actual figures up to and including the selected period.

This is what the cut-off looks like:

In short: up to and including the cut-off you see actual figures, after the cut-off you see the forecast. The months up to and including the cut-off are called closed periods — see When an invoice doesn't arrive: automatic shifting for what happens when a planned invoice hasn't arrived.
