Can I create a report for a point in time in the past?

Yes. AIMZ logs everything that is registered, so you can set the forecast date back in time and select the posting period when you create the report.

Yes. AIMZ logs everything that is registered, when it happens and by whom. You can therefore create a report for a point in time in the past by setting Forecast date to the date and time you want to see the project as it was, and selecting which Posting period to include.

How to do it

  1. Go to Report in the left menu.

  2. Click + Report in the top right.

  3. Give the report a name, for example month and year.

  4. Set Forecast date to the point in time you want to report on. The default is the minute you create the report, but you can select a date in the past.

  5. Select Posting period, i.e. which posted invoices to include. If you are reporting for May, select the period May. You can also select a specific date.

  6. Optionally choose to compare with the previous report, and save.

The report list in the Report module. 1: + Report, where you create a new report. 2: Forecast date. 3: Posting period.

When is this useful?

  • You forgot to create the monthly report in time.

  • You want to see what the forecast looked like before a specific change.

  • You want a report per quarter or year for projects that have already been running for a while.
