Can the final forecast be calculated differently on certain production codes?

Yes. For example, you can let certain codes be driven by the posted amount. The setting is currently set up with help from AIMZ.

Yes. By default, the final forecast is calculated the same way on all production codes, but you can control the calculation on specific production codes or accounts. For example, you can let certain codes be driven by what has been posted instead of the standard forecast logic. Today this is set up as a setting with help from AIMZ.

When is this relevant?

  • Codes where the posted amount is the best estimate, and it makes no sense to follow up the contract or budget.

  • Special contract models, such as collaborative and incentive models, where certain codes should be calculated in a different way.

  • Local adjustments, for example how contingency should be deducted when a deviation is handled.

How to get it set up

  1. Write to us in the chat and describe which production codes or accounts it concerns, and how the final forecast should be calculated.

  2. AIMZ sets up the setting for the project.

  3. Feel free to customize the panel on the production code, so that the lines that count toward the final forecast are marked correctly.

The panel on a production code with the menu open. 1: Panel setup. 2: Edit, where you change which lines count toward the final forecast. 3: Final forecast, which is calculated from the lines that count.

Good to know

In the panel on the production code, you can yourself mark which lines should be shown as "counts toward the final forecast". This only changes the display. The calculation itself is changed through the setting AIMZ sets up.
