How do I change the number or group on many change orders at once?

Click the cell and type to change Number. For the same Group on many change orders, select the cells, type the value and press Ctrl+Enter. Click Save changes at the bottom.

You edit directly in the change order table in Change Order Client, Change Order Sub or Counter Claim, without clicking Edit first. Click a cell in Number or Group and type. If many change orders should have the same group, select the cells and press Ctrl+Enter. Finally, click Save changes at the bottom of the table.

How to do it

  1. Go to Change Order and select the Change Order Client, Change Order Sub or Counter Claim tab.

  2. Use the search field to find the change orders you want to change, if needed.

  3. Number: Click the cell and type the new number. Press Enter or click another cell to confirm.

  4. Same group on many change orders: Select the cells in the Group column by dragging across them, or use Shift-click or Ctrl-click (Cmd on Mac). Type the group and press Ctrl+Enter, or click Set value in X cells at the top of the table.

  5. Click Save changes at the bottom of the table.

The same value being set on five cells at once.

Good to know

  • The change order number is free-form. It can follow your own numbering, and you can correct it afterwards when you get the right number from the subcontractor.

  • Group is free-form. Use it for example for block, building, phase or "expected change", and group or filter the table by it.

  • If the table is grouped, you can click the group row to select all the change orders in the group.

  • A changed cell turns green until it is saved, so you can see what you have changed.

  • If you change your mind before saving, click Cancel at the bottom and nothing is saved. You can also undo with Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac).
