How do I set the same value on many rows at once?

Select the cells, type the value and press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) or Set value in X cells.

You set the same value on many rows by selecting the cells in the column, typing the value and pressing Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac). This replaces the old Set status button and works in all columns that can be edited.

How to do it

  1. Select the cells in the column you want to change, for example Status. Drag across the cells, use Shift-click or Ctrl-click.

  2. Type or select the new value.

  3. Press Ctrl+Enter, or click the Set value in X cells button at the top of the table.

  4. All the selected cells get the new value and turn green.

  5. Click Save changes at the bottom of the table.

The same value being set on five cells at once.

Good to know

  • If the table is grouped, you can click the group row to select all the rows in the group.

  • If you change your mind, press Ctrl+Z. All the cells revert at once.

  • Cells that cannot be edited are not included.
