How do I copy cells and rows from a table to Excel?

Select the cells, press Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac) and paste into Excel with Ctrl+V. Ctrl+A selects the whole table.

You copy cells and rows from a table in AIMZ with Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac) and paste them straight into Excel with Ctrl+V. This is often faster than exporting the whole table.

How to do it

  1. Select the cells you want to copy. Drag across the cells, Shift-click, or click a column header to select the whole column.

  2. To include the whole table, press Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on Mac).

  3. Press Ctrl+C, or click Copy at the top of the table.

  4. Go to Excel and press Ctrl+V.

Good to know

  • When you have selected cells, the toolbar at the top shows how many cells you have selected, and the buttons Copy and Paste. They do the same as the keyboard shortcuts.

  • At the bottom of the table you see the sum, average and count for the cells you have selected.

  • If you have filtered the table, you only copy the rows that are shown.

  • If you need all the columns, including hidden ones, use Export.
