New tables in AIMZ: what's new?

The tables in AIMZ have been rebuilt: they are faster, you edit directly without an edit mode, and they work more like Excel.

All tables in AIMZ have been rebuilt. They are faster, you edit directly in the cells without switching on edit mode, and you work with keyboard shortcuts like in Excel. The change applies to all tables in AIMZ, for example Account, Prod. codes, Invoice, Change Order and Billing Schedule Client.

What's new

  • Faster tables: Large tables with several thousand rows load and scroll without delay.

  • No edit mode: You click in a cell and type, and save with Save changes at the bottom. Fields that cannot be changed have muted text.

  • Keyboard shortcuts like in Excel: Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y (Cmd on Mac) work in the tables.

  • Paste from Excel: You can paste rows from Excel, and new rows are created automatically.

  • Set a value in several cells: Select the cells, type the value and press Ctrl+Enter.

  • Filter and sorting: The filter rules are the same as in Excel.

  • Multi-level grouping: For example, group first by status and then by group.

  • Edit table layout: Move, hide, pin and color columns in one place.

  • Several users at once: If two people change the same cell, you are notified and choose which value should apply.

What happens to my table layouts?

The table profiles and layouts you have today are moved over to the new tables. Some columns have been renamed. If a column is missing, add it again in Edit table layout.

What is gone?

  • The Edit button for the whole table: You edit directly in the cells.

  • The Set status button: You select the cells in the Status column and set the value for all of them at once.

  • Links in the cells: Text that used to be links can now be edited. Use the Go to details icon to the left in the row to open a row.
