How do we import change orders from an external change management system without an integration?

Send an export from the change management system to AIMZ support, and it will be uploaded. The export must be updated regularly, and the distribution across production codes is done in AIMZ.

If you don't have an integration with the change management system, the change orders can be imported from an export. Send the export to AIMZ support in the chat, and it will be uploaded. The export is not updated automatically, so it must be sent again regularly when new change orders and claims come in.

How to do it

  1. Export the change orders from the change management system, for example as Excel.

  2. Send the file to us in the chat.

  3. AIMZ uploads it. Previous imports can be deleted first, so you don't get the change orders twice.

  4. Feel free to ask for instructions, so you can do the updates yourselves over time.

  5. Distribute the change orders to the correct production codes in AIMZ.

The Import data window. 1: import of change orders towards the client (Change Order Client). 2: import of change orders towards subcontractors (Change Order Sub).

Why must the distribution be done in AIMZ?

Many change management systems don't track how a change order is distributed across trade codes. The distribution must then be done manually in AIMZ. It pays off, because cost and revenue then end up on the correct production code, and the contribution margin is correct. Many use AIMZ for this instead of a separate distribution sheet in Excel.

Good to know

With an integration to the change management system, change orders come in automatically and are kept up to date. See the overview of integrations for which systems AIMZ supports.
