Can the menu look different for different roles on the project?

No. The menu is the same for all roles on a project. Use favourites, hide menu items and filter on production codes for users who are only responsible for some trades.

No. The menu setup applies equally to everyone on the project, or to the whole organization if it is saved there. It is not possible to have a different menu per role, because that would make access control very complicated. For users who are only responsible for some trades, use favourites, hide menu items and filter on their production codes.

How to make everyday work easier for a site manager

  1. Mark the production codes the person is responsible for as favourites with the star. They are then shown under Favourites in the menu.

  2. Hide menu items that are not relevant via Customize menu, with the eye icon.

  3. Filter or group Prod. codes on the codes the person follows up, for example the site setup.

  4. Consider creating a shared table profile with the columns the site manager needs.

The left menu in edit mode after clicking Customize menu. 1: Favourites at the top of the menu. 2: the eye icon that shows or hides a menu item. 3: Confirm.

Good to know

  • Remember that menu items you hide are hidden for everyone on the project. Decide the setup together with the project manager.

  • For a site manager responsible for the site setup, a setup where Setup and Operation is clearly visible can be useful.
