Add the variables for uncertainty and expected addition where management sees the figures: on the dashboard, in Portfolio and in the formula list for the report. They then see how much of the final forecast is provisions, not just the total sum.
Why show the provisions separately?
Two projects can have the same contribution margin (%) but different risk. If one has large provisions that may not be used, the result can improve. If the other has no provisions, it can get worse. With the provisions visible, management can ask the right questions.
How to do it
Dashboard: Click Edit on Home, add a KPI list and select the variables for uncertainty and expected addition.
Portfolio: Add the columns for uncertainty and expected addition to the table profile.
Report: Put the variables in the formula list, and they are included in the snapshot every month.
