At the top of the project dashboard (Home) you see four key figures: Revenue forecast is expected revenue, Final forecast is expected total cost, Contribution is the result the project is expected to end up with, and Contribution margin (%) is the contribution as a percentage of revenue.
The key figures
Revenue forecast: Expected revenue in the project, mainly contract sum + approved Change Order Client + LPS.
Final forecast: Expected total cost when the project is finished, the sum of the final forecasts on the production codes.
Contribution: The result of the project, i.e. what you are expected to end up with. The contribution is calculated without LPS on both the revenue and cost side.
Contribution margin (%): The contribution as a percentage of revenue.
The Cost and revenue development chart
Below the key figures, the chart shows how the forecast is built up for a selected period:
Revenue: Contract sum, Change Order Client, Posted other revenue, Client options and LPS revenue.
Costs: Planned purchase, Purchased, Change Order Sub, Counter Claim, Expected Addition, Uncertainty, Setup and Operation, LPS cost and production codes without purchases.
Good to know
Final forecast and contribution margin are also shown at the top of all modules, so you see the effect as soon as you change something.
If the estimate is not published, the final forecast shows 0, and the contribution margin may show 100%.
