How do I adjust column width in a table?

Drag the line between two column headers, or choose Fit width to content in the column menu in Table layout.

You change the width of a column by dragging the line between two column headers. If you want the column to be just wide enough for its content, choose Fit width to content in the column menu.

How to drag the width

  1. Hold the mouse pointer over the line between two column headers.

  2. When the pointer changes, drag right for a wider column or left for a narrower one.

How to fit the width automatically

  1. Click Table layout at the top of the table.

  2. Open the menu (three dots) in the column header.

  3. Choose Fit width to content.

  4. Click Save layout.

Resetting the width

If you click Reset widths at the top of the table layout, AIMZ calculates a width based on how long the text in the column usually is, with an upper limit so the column does not get too wide.
