How do I hide production codes that are not relevant to the project?

Filter out codes without content, collapse groups, or delete codes you are sure will not be used.

The best way to hide production codes you don't use is to filter Prod. codes so that only codes with content are shown. A code then reappears automatically if the project starts using it later. You can also collapse groups you don't need, or delete codes you are sure will not be used.

Three ways to do it

  1. Filter out empty codes (recommended): Use the filter in Prod. codes to show only codes with content, for example budget, purchases or posted cost.

  2. Collapse groups: The codes are grouped, for example Setup and Operation, Building and Technical. Collapse groups you don't need to see, so they don't take up space in the view.

  3. Delete the code: If you are sure a code will never be used on the project, you can delete it.

Prod. codes. 1: The Filter button, where you can filter out codes. 2: A production code without figures that is not relevant to the project.

Why filter instead of deleting?

If you copy the production code plan from another project, you often get many codes that are not relevant. An interior fit-out project, for example, does not need the codes for the building shell. If you delete them, you must create them again if they are needed after all. If you filter them out, they reappear automatically when they get content.

Tip

Save the setup as a table profile, and you get the same view next time you open Prod. codes. Share the profile with the project if your colleagues should have the same view.
