Why do I get a warning about unclosed months in Setup and Operation?

AIMZ knows which month you're in. If earlier months haven't been completed, a warning reminds you to run Complete month.

AIMZ knows which month you're in. If you haven't completed earlier months, for example if it's April and February and March haven't been closed, a warning appears at the top of Setup and Operation. The warning reminds you to run Complete month, so posted figures replace the accrued ones.

How to clear the warning

  1. Go to Setup and Operation.

  2. Start with the oldest month that hasn't been completed.

  3. Click Complete month. The accrued amount is replaced with the posted amount.

  4. Handle any deviations for the month.

  5. Repeat for the following months until you're up to date. The warning disappears.

The chart in Setup and Operation

In addition to the table, Setup and Operation has a chart view that shows, among other things, budget and forecast as curves over time. You can filter by production codes to see one or more codes. Hover over a cell in the table to see what has been posted.

Why is it important to close months?

As long as a month hasn't been completed, the forecast uses the accrued amount for that month, not what has actually been posted. The final forecast is therefore most accurate when months are closed continuously.
