Should anything other than Setup and Operation affect the final forecast on the site setup codes?

Preferably not. When you use the Setup and Operation module, it should be the only thing affecting the final forecast on the setup and operation codes.

Preferably not. The forecast from Setup and Operation goes to the production code, but change orders and expected additions can also affect the final forecast on the same code. When you use the Setup and Operation module, we recommend that it is the only thing affecting the final forecast on the setup and operation codes. If you have several sources on the same code, follow-up becomes difficult.

How to keep the setup codes tidy

  1. Accrue all setup and operation codes as expense items in Setup and Operation.

  2. Avoid placing contracts, purchases or expected additions directly on these codes.

  3. If a new setup cost arises, adjust the accrual on the expense item instead.

  4. If a setup cost comes from a Change Order Client, link the change order to the expense item in Setup and Operation.

  5. If a cost arises with a subcontractor that really belongs to the site setup, it is often easier to move budget with a transaction and follow up the cost where the subcontract is.

The panel on a production code with the menu open. 1: Panel setup. 2: Edit, where you choose which lines count towards the final forecast on the setup code. 3: Final forecast at the bottom of the panel.

Where can I see what affects the code?

Open the production code in Prod. codes. In the panel on the right, and in the Summaries tab, you can see which elements make up the final forecast.
