Change orders and contracts without a payment plan are placed as one lump sum in the month they were created. That is why they can end up in the wrong month in the liquidity overview. You fix it by moving or accruing the item in the grid, or by adding a payment plan to the contract.
What is placed correctly automatically?
Setup and Operation: Comes in month by month according to your accrual.
Contracts with a payment plan: Come in according to the payment plan.
Billing schedule for the client: Comes in according to the schedule.
What do you have to move yourself?
Contracts without a payment plan: The full amount is in the month of creation.
Change orders: Placed in the month the change order was created.
Uncertainty and expected additions.
Production codes without purchases: Placed with the budget and should be distributed according to progress.
How to move an item
Go to Liquidity and select Grid.
Click Edit.
Drag the amount to the month it actually comes in, or spread it over several months for partial payments.
Save.
Tip
For contracts, it is even better to add a payment plan. Then you control each month, and the plan can also be exported to the subcontractor.
