How do I avoid LPS on the part of the contract that has already been invoiced?

Split the amounts into two billing schedules: one for what has already been invoiced without LPS, and one for the new phase with index regulation turned on.

LPS is activated per billing schedule. If index regulation should apply to only part of the contract, separate the amounts: put what has already been invoiced in a separate billing schedule without LPS, and let the schedule to be index-regulated contain only the new phase. The sum of the schedules should add up to the contract value.

Typical situation

The project has an earlier phase, for example a pre-project or a remaining invoice at contract signing, that has already been invoiced. The contract sum in AIMZ covers the full amount, but LPS should only be calculated on the new phase.

How to do it

  1. Go to Billing Schedule Client.

  2. Put the history, i.e. what has already been invoiced, in a separate billing schedule, or as one combined amount in an early month. Do not turn on index regulation on this schedule.

  3. Put the new phase in a separate billing schedule, and turn on Index regulation only on this one.

  4. Check that the sum of the schedules matches the contract value.

The window for a billing schedule. 1: the Index regulation toggle, which you turn off on the schedule for the part of the contract that has already been invoiced. 2: Index. 3: Base month. 4: Reduction factor.
