AIMZ always works excl. VAT. The contract value you enter on the project is the signed sum with the client excluding VAT. The same applies to contract amounts, change orders, markups and forecasts elsewhere in the solution.
What does this mean in practice?
Contract value: Enter the signed sum with the client without VAT.
Purchasing: Enter contract amounts and purchases without VAT.
Change orders: Cost claim, cost, markup and revenue claim are without VAT.
Forecasts and dashboard: Final forecast, revenue forecast and contribution are shown without VAT.
How to handle figures with VAT
Check whether the figure in the contract or tender is stated with or without VAT.
If it is stated with VAT, convert it to excl. VAT before you enter it.
You can type the calculation directly in the number field, for example the amount divided by 1.25.
Good to know
When you export a Change Order Client to the client, the document shows the total excl. VAT, VAT and the total incl. VAT.
