Do change orders get a number automatically?

No, not yet. You set the number yourself, because different companies use different number formats such as EO, EA and EM.

No, not yet. You set the change order number yourself when you create the change order. This is because companies use different number formats, for example EO, EA or EM.

How to do it

  1. Go to Change Order Subcontractor or Change Order Client.

  2. Sort the table by the Number column to see which number was used last.

  3. Create the new change order, for example with + Change Order Client, and enter the next number in the Number field at the top.

The Change Order Client table in AIMZ. 1 points to the Change Order Client tab, 2 to the Number column that you can sort by to see the last used number, and 3 to the + Change Order Client button for creating a new change order.

Good to know

  • If several of you create change orders, check the list before you set a number. New change orders appear almost in real time for everyone on the project.

  • If you have set the wrong number, you can correct it afterwards, also on many change orders at once.

  • Use the same format throughout the project, and the list will be easier to sort.
