Why can revenue deviate after an estimate import?

Estimate lines can have different markups or contribution margins. If the import assumes the same markup on all lines, the revenue will be wrong.

The estimate lines can have different markups or contribution margins. If the import assumes the same markup on all lines, the revenue will be wrong. The deviation can be large when the estimate has many lines.

How to fix it

  1. Compare Revenue forecast on Home with the revenue in the estimating software.

  2. Check whether some items have a different markup or contribution margin than the rest.

  3. Make sure the Excel file has markup or contribution margin per line.

  4. Import the estimate again via the three dots next to the project name → Import data → Estimate.

  5. Check that the revenue is correct after the estimate is published.

Home in AIMZ. 1 points to the key figure Revenue forecast, and 2 to the line Contract sum under Revenue in the table Cost and revenue development.
