What is the difference between the Planned, Actual and Compare views in Own Production?

Planned shows the distribution, Actual shows what you have logged, and Compare shows both for the same month.

At the top of Own Production you can switch between three views. Planned shows how quantities and costs are distributed per month, Actual shows what you have logged as actual consumption, and Compare shows actual and planned for the same month directly below each other.

The views

  • Planned: The distribution you have set up for each work package and each line, month by month. Use this when you create the plan or adjust it going forward.

  • Actual: Quantity and cost you have registered as actual consumption for each month.

  • Compare: The actual logged quantity and cost are shown at the top of each cell, and the planned figures for the same month are shown below. This lets you quickly see where you are ahead of or behind plan.

How to switch view

  1. Go to Own Production.

  2. Select Planned, Actual or Compare at the top of the page.

  3. Optionally choose whether to see amount or quantity per month.

The Own Production overview. 1: the View dropdown, where you select Planned, Actual or Compare. 2: a month column where the figures for the month are shown.

Tip

Use Compare in the monthly reconciliation. It shows which lines have deviations, so you can decide whether to approve the deviation or move it to the next month.
