Why aren't images included in the PDF when I export a change order?

Only PDF attachments are merged into the export. Images such as JPEG are added as separate files in a ZIP file. Combine the images into a PDF first to get everything in one document.

When exporting, AIMZ can only merge PDF files with the change order document. Attachments in other formats, for example JPEG images, are not merged into the PDF. When you download, such files are added as separate files in a ZIP file together with the change order document.

How to get everything in one document

  1. Combine the images into one PDF before uploading them, for example via a field report or a Word document that you save as PDF.

  2. Upload the PDF as an attachment on the change order. Drag and drop works.

  3. Click Export on the change order.

  4. Under Files, choose which PDF attachments to include, and in which order.

  5. Download. The attachments are placed after the change order document in one combined file.

The top of a Change Order Client. 1: Export, which opens the export settings where you choose attachments for the PDF. 2: Attachments, where the images and files for the change order are stored.

Good to know

  • Other file types can still be uploaded and stored on the change order. They just aren't merged into the PDF.

  • PDF attachments can be previewed in AIMZ.

  • Line breaks in the description field may disappear in the PDF. You can adjust the text in the preview before downloading.

  • Digital signing is not yet available. The signature is added to the PDF after downloading.
