In addition to regular cost lines, a Change Order Client can be built with estimate lines. Each line is calculated from description, unit, unit cost and quantity, with a markup in percent, and gives total cost and total revenue. This is useful when you want to show the client how the price was calculated.
How to do it
Open the Change Order Client and click the empty box at the far left of the line
Add estimate lines with Description, Unit, Unit cost and Quantity.
Set Markup (%).
AIMZ calculates total cost and total revenue per line.
Save.
When exporting
When you export the change order, choose under Costs whether the estimate lines should be shown to the client.
Good to know
The estimate on the change order is the basis for the price to the client, i.e. net cost and revenue claim.
Actual cost in the final forecast only comes when you link a cost, typically a Change Order Sub, to the line.
For cost-plus work, you can adjust the quantity or add correction lines as you go.
The estimate items from the production code can be used as a starting point when you estimate change orders.
