What happens when two people change the same cell at the same time?

If a colleague saves a change in a cell you have also changed, the cell turns yellow with a person icon, and you choose Get their version or Keep mine.

Several people can work in the same table at the same time. If a colleague saves a change in a cell that you have also changed but not saved, the cell turns yellow with a person icon. You then choose whether to get your colleague's version or keep yours.

How to resolve a conflict

  1. Look for the cell that is yellow with a person icon. At the bottom of the table it says Conflict, and with Go to row you jump straight to the row.

  2. Read the banner below the row. It shows who changed the cell and to what.

  3. Click Get their version to use your colleague's value, or Keep mine to keep yours.

  4. Click Save changes.

Good to know

  • If you change different cells, nothing special happens. Both changes are kept.

  • If you are unsure which value is correct, talk to your colleague before you choose.

  • All changes are shown in the Change Log.
