Why does the amount go back when I delete a transaction?

A transaction is a transfer between two production codes. If you delete it, the transfer is reversed and the amount goes back to the code it came from.

A transaction is a transfer of budget from one production code to another. When you delete the transaction, the transfer is reversed. The amount then goes back to the production code it was transferred from.

Why does this happen?

Example: You have transferred NOK 3.6 million from a production code to a risk item. If you delete the transaction, the original code gets the amount back, and the risk item loses it.

How to find out where an amount came from

  1. Open the production code in Prod. codes.

  2. Select the Transactions tab on the right. There you see Name, Created, Amount and Transaction type for each transaction. Click the pencil on the row to see the details, including which code the amount came from.

  3. If the amount is in the wrong place, create a new transaction instead of deleting the old one if you want to keep the history.

The page for the production code Plumber with the Transactions tab open in the overview on the right. 1 points to the Transactions tab, and 2 to the transactions with name, created date, amount and transaction type.

Good to know

  • A transaction changes the revised budget, not the original budget.

  • Deleting a transaction affects both production codes.

  • You delete a transaction with the trash can on the row in the Transactions tab.
