Can one contract be split across several production codes?

Yes. Add several cost lines to the contract, each on its own production code. We still recommend one production code per contract.

Yes. You can add several cost lines to the contract, each on its own production code. We still recommend one production code per contract when possible.

How to do it

  1. Open the contract in Purchasing for editing.

  2. Click Add under the cost lines under Costs.

  3. Choose Status, Production code and Cost for the line.

  4. Repeat for each production code the contract should be split across, and save.

The Edit contract dialog in AIMZ with several cost lines under Costs. 1 points to the Add button that adds a new cost line, 2 to the cost lines with the columns Status, Production code, Description and Cost, and 3 to the sum of the cost lines.

Good to know

  • One production code per contract gives more accurate follow-up, because costs and invoices then belong in one place.

  • The opposite works fine too: several purchases or contracts can sit on the same production code.

  • Check that the sum of the cost lines matches the contract value.
