Do I have to enter the purchase per item, or is one sum enough?

One sum is enough, and that is what most people do. If you need item level on the contract, AIMZ can help you import the items from Excel.

One sum is enough. Most people enter the purchased sum as a cost line on the contract, and we recommend starting there.

How to do it

  1. Go to Purchasing and create the contract.

  2. Enter the purchased sum in the Cost column on the cost line, with the right production code.

  3. Save.

Want to follow up per item?

  • The contract has a separate Estimate tab for estimate items, with item, resource, production code, unit, quantity and unit cost, among other things.

  • If you have the items in Excel, AIMZ can help you import them at item level. Get in touch via the chat.

  • You can start with one sum and add item level later.

The Estimate tab on a contract in Purchasing in AIMZ. 1 points to the Estimate tab, and 2 to the table of estimate items for the contract (the columns Item, Resource, Production Code, Unit, Quantity, Unit Cost, Material Cost, Labor Hours and Hourly Rate). In the demo the table is empty.

Good to know

  • Several purchases can be on the same production code if different suppliers share the work.
