Can I create a change order directly from an invoice?

Yes. If the invoice relates to a change order that has not been registered, you can create the change order straight from the invoice. The invoice is then linked to the new change order.

How to do it

  1. Go to Invoice → Incoming Invoice.

  2. Find the invoice and click Link on the invoice line.

  3. Click + (Add) next to Change Order Subcontractor to create a new change order.

  4. Fill in the change order and save.

Good to know

  • This way you avoid going to Change Order Subcontractor first and coming back to the invoice afterwards.

  • You can always change the link afterwards if you chose the wrong one.

  • You can see the invoices that belong to a change order on the change order itself.
