Which costs does the change management system not capture, and how do I include them?

Costs that do not come as a subcontractor change, such as provisions in setup and operation and own production. Enter them as an expected addition on the right production code.

The change management system only captures what comes as a subcontractor change. Your own costs, such as provisions in setup and operation and own production, you must enter yourself as an expected addition in AIMZ.

How to do it

  1. Go through the changes to the client and see whether they have own costs that do not come from subcontractors.

  2. Go to Expected Addition and click + Expected Addition, or open the production code the cost belongs to and use the Expected Addition tab.

  3. Select the production code, enter the amount in Cost and write in Description which change to the client the cost belongs to.

  4. Click Confirm.

The Expected Addition menu module in AIMZ with the project's expected additions. 1 points to Expected Addition in the menu, 2 to the + Expected Addition button for entering a new addition, and 3 to the Link column.

Good to know

  • A Change Order Client can be sent without the corresponding own cost being entered. Keep an eye on this.

  • If the own cost is missing, the final forecast becomes too low and the contribution margin too high.

  • When the actual cost arrives, you clean up the expected additions.
