Why do I have to approve a change order again after it has been changed in the change management system?

When a change is updated in the change management system, it goes back to approval in AIMZ, so the final forecast does not change without you being in control.

When a change is updated in the change management system, for example because the client rejects it or the price is negotiated, it goes back to approval in AIMZ. That way the final forecast does not change without you having looked at the update.

The change is updated automatically in AIMZ, but the figures do not take effect until you have approved it again.

How to do it

  1. Go to Change Order Subcontractor (or Change Order Client) and find the changes waiting for approval.

  2. Open the change and check that the status and amount match the change management system.

  3. Approve the update and click Save.

  4. If you have many updates, you can approve several at once instead of one by one.

The Change Order Subcontractor table in AIMZ. 1 points to the Change Order Subcontractor tab, 2 to the Status column that shows the status of each change, and 3 to the checkboxes where you can select several changes at once.

Good to know

  • The approval is a deliberate choice: the sums in the change management system are often not settled yet, and you decide when they should count in the forecast.

  • The same principle applies to changes to the client. Some are confirmed, while others wait for you to approve them.

  • If the approval becomes pure routine, you can ask AIMZ for full automation.
